Treating various skin conditions
Dr. Grayman provides treatment for many skin conditions, including:
- Acne – The most common skin condition in the United States is acne, affecting about 60 million people on a regular basis. Acne includes whiteheads and blackheads (comedones), pimples (papules), and cysts (nodules). Acne can develop on the neck, face, back, chest, and arms.
- Eczema – This often appears as dry, scaly patches on the skin that become itchy. There are various types of eczema that can occur on different areas of the body. It can appear on the face, scalp, hands, feet, or inside the bends of elbows or knees.
- Psoriasis – This is a non-contagious skin condition in which skin becomes inflamed and subsequently thickens. It is characterized by raised, red plaques covered with white scales. Psoriasis typically occurs on the scalp, elbows, and knees.
- Rosacea – Redness on the nose, chin, cheeks, or forehead can be a sign of rosacea. Redness and flushing can become more intense overtime.
Individualized care
Dr. Grayman also treats skin cancer. The most common types of skin cancer are melanoma, basal cell carcinoma, and squamous cell carcinoma.
